Street Fighter X Tekken

Crossover Fighter Dated, New Trailer Released

Few fighting games look as over the top as Street Fighter X Tekken, which pits contestants from the two venerable series against each other. During this weekend's New York Comic Con, Capcom finally revealed the release date for the game, along a five minute trailer that explains all of the features that make this fighting title unique.

The trailer explains Street Fighter X Tekken's gem system (which allows you to choose which power-ups you'll have access to during the match), along with other techniques like launchers, cross rushes, super charges, and much more. Check out the video below for explanations of each technique, along with plenty of gameplay footage.

Street Fighter X Tekken will be available on March 6 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Vita.

  • I'm excited, I can't wait for this game!
  • Oh my word, does this game look good. I wish there was a mode where you could play it in the good old fashion Tekken style, though.
  • Been looking forward to this game as well as TEKKEN X Street Fighter for a while. Hope it turns out as good as I hope.

  • So does this mean the Vita will be available on (or around) March 6th? Sure hope so :D
  • This game looks like way too much. I'm usually average at the least with fighting games, but this seems like way too many button presses and BS victories. I think I'll wait til Tekken X Street Fighter, and hope that looks alot better.
  • My biggest problem with this game is going to be balance.  How do they plan to balance out characters from Street Fighter who have projectile attacks with the Tekken characters who are all about combos and melee attacks?  Are they just retooling characters to have different attacks?  Because that seems like they're just making Tekken characters into Street Fighter characters.

Honestly, I was intrigued by this idea at first but I'm taking a pass because of how it ends up looking like just another Street Fighter game.  I like Tekken because it doesn't have all those magical super moves involving fireballs and flaming fists.

  • This game looks amazing. Capcom has always been great at fighting games and and balancing. (Minus Zanchief) I play Super Street Fighter 4 all the time with my Tekken 6 fight stick. So, I'm mos def looking forward to this.

  • Im not really big on either games, but they're both good games separately respectively. now with that said, likw wouldn't it make the game a little off balanced? i just would have to pick it up myself won't I?

  • to hopefully save some complaining, its obvious the balance issues will be altered through giving the tekken characters different moves. tekken control would not work on a street fighter format. now you can complain about the tekken characters not having their original moves... ....BUT, tekken x street fighter will do the same thing except reverse. bottom line, if you like sf better, get sf x tekken. if you like tekken better get tekken x sf. friggin all butt hurt bitches reading this article lol. just think for more than 30 seconds.
  • knowing Capcom i'll wait for the super whatever to come out
  • I'm actually more excited for Tekken X Street Fighter
  • Oh no you don't Capcom! I'm not falling for that one again! I'll wait a year or two, for you to release the Super Hyper Arcade edition. Before I shell out anymore of my hard earned money. Instead of new DLC, you like to release new versions of the same game. Not this time. I've caught on to the pattern, and I'm going to actually save some money, instead of buying every new edition of a game I already owned. Love the fighting games, but not that much.
  • i'm actually more excited for tekken x street fight.

street fighter is the only fighting game that ive played that i havent been good at or learned the controls for

  • Just how i like to kick some a*s

  • *** I'm going to have to use training mode like crazy. There's so much to do and learn. I'm going to hate fighting the real good players online.

  • Go street fighter!

  • this game is gonna b epic

  • This looks to be way deeper than any fighting game I've ever played, which is kind of intimidating.

  • wow, you most definitely need an arcade stick to play this game. Looks amazing, but I'll wait for the Cheaper, bigger and better version in the near future.

  • Cant wait to kick some street fighter a**.(tekken fan)
