Video Review: State of Decay
on January 29, 2014 at 11:04 AM
State of Decay is a game...a game about zombies...there haven't been many of those...right? Of course the truth is, there are FAR too many zombie games on the market. The real question; is State of Decay worth the $20 or is this one twitching corpse you should avoid? Let's watch and see!
Above average, but lacking
on September 17, 2013 at 01:24 AM
I bought State of Decay when it was released at the beginning of Summer. I just now completed it. When it takes me 3 months and 11 days for me to complete a game, that generally indicates that it's crap. State of Decay is not crap though, it just bored me to death. A lot of critics point to the feeling...
State of Decay: The Icing of the Zombie Games
on July 16, 2013 at 02:49 AM
Hiding in a bush with a weapon that is just about to break, a horde of zombies slowly walking by and a zombie just of camera walks into the bush and exposes you, then you run. State of Decay is the first zombie survival game which has felt like you are actually trying to survive against the odds. State...
The glamour of the old timers
on June 17, 2013 at 07:59 AM
For starters I'm not a huge zombie fan, but I love strategy as well as third person titles with vast open worlds to explore and so on. State of Decay surprised me for the freedom it gives to players, the fact that you can actually die after 8 hours or so in the game - after a painful run to upgrading...
A New take on Zombies
on June 14, 2013 at 09:48 PM
An exiting title utilizing the power of survival as you group struggles to survive it rest on your shoulders to guide them to the end. My advice? Beware of ferals... This title is worth checking out but my only problem is a repetitiveness to it and the lackluster missions. As well as the non-inclusion...
Why State of Decay is one of the best zombie games out thereL
on June 14, 2013 at 05:47 AM
State of Decay is in one word: Amazing. State of Decay mixes brutal, fun combat with controlling your main base, all while doing multitudes of sidequests and other things. State of Decay is not very pretty, and there are multiple glitches. But the core gameplay outweighs the problems.
State Of About Time
on June 08, 2013 at 12:47 PM
State of Decay is a game scenario that's taken far to long to get executed. Unlike most of the people posting reviews I'm going to give this game a 9 but it really deserves about a 9.50. This game deserves more than its been given be reviewers. People are missing what it has brought to us and...
State of Decay Haters will Play!
on June 07, 2013 at 02:44 PM
Ok so Straight up no BS from a guy who been gaming for over 20 odd something years, this game is EPIC! Yes there may be a few glitches haters will cry about but didnt skyrim have alot of glitches and we all loved that didnt we? Well for $20 you cant beat this and for a XBLA game to boot so no matter what...
In this state of decay, evil isn't the only resident.
on June 07, 2013 at 08:43 AM
I've been keeping an eye on this title since it first popped up as a Game Informer preview. And although the sudden announcement of a release date set only days prior to availability gave me a sinking suspicion, State of Decay thankfully turned out to be exactly what I had hoped with only marginal...
on June 07, 2013 at 02:41 AM
I was told to pick this up. I saw one video and purchased it for $20. This game? For the price? for a 1/3 of AAA games I felt gave me a triple AAA experience. Aside from glaring graphical issues and a common occurrence of Zombies getting stuck in fences. I'm finding the game to be fantastic. I mean...
An Incredibly Deep Game Hidden Under Some Technical Issues
on June 07, 2013 at 01:25 AM
I am going to keep this review short. The title says it all. This game is a very complicated, in depth experience especially for an arcade game. The real issues are the pop ins, frame rate drops, and textures screwing up. I can forgive all of these issues because to be completely honest, I am having...
Every Hour Has Been Worth Every Penny
on June 07, 2013 at 01:17 AM
There are some glitches, but I have not ran into as many problems as the official review on this site. And as for simple visual problems, well I haven't even noticed through all the fun I've been having. Its just about everything I wanted it to be. There are some things I think would make the...
Technical issues? Check. Fun, rewarding, and unique to consoles? Triple check!
on June 07, 2013 at 01:11 AM
State of Decay admittedly has some technical issues. Gun play is years behind the industries top third person shooters, vehicles control adequately at best, and you don't have to look far to find glitches. Thankfully, none of it's failings are game breaking though, and the fun factor is definitely...
A little niche does not have to be perfect, but cozy.
on June 06, 2013 at 08:04 PM
Zombie games are my lifeblood... Or rather... death? I get every game claiming to portray a zombie survival experience with hesitation, knowing it will not deliver. Because a zombie survival simulator would be hard, and hard doesn't sell. You see, State of Decay is a niche game. It was made for a...
