The lights are on
Zombie games are my lifeblood... Or rather... death? I get every game claiming to portray a zombie survival experience with hesitation, knowing it will not deliver. Because a zombie survival simulator would be hard, and hard doesn't sell. You see, State of Decay is a niche game. It was made for a very specific fanbase, and to them, it delivers. It is by no means perfect, but it does what it promised, something few games accomplish. You are in a large, cruel world, where zombies are a threat, and you gather supplies and manage relationships and a base. Zombie kills feel crisp and rewarding, and the amount of weapons is astounding. If you, like me, have always wanted a closer approximation of a zombie apocalypse, this is your game.
I agree, this game is perfect for me. I love the feeling of danger around every corner. The thought of being alone, scavenging for your community also makes it worse/better. This is the perfect zombie game.
Well put sir. This game delivers what I was hoping it would. Honestly, I was a little worried, just because I so didn't want to be disappointed this time, and I wasn't. I'm loving it.
