Perfect World Entertainment is going to boldly go where Star Trek has never gone before. The publisher announced today that it’s bringing the space-faring MMO to console.

When the game steps into the transporter this fall, it will bring with it content developed over six years on PC. Star Trek Online will launch with two expansions and 11 seasons of updates.

Options include well-known factions like the Federation and Klingons, as well as 32 different species. The control scheme will be adapted to consoles in line with how Perfect World’s Neverwinter made the jump.

The entire story content will be available for free with no paywall keeping players from reaching the level 60 cap. For more on Star Trek Online, check out our previous coverage.
