The lights are on
The oft-delayed South Park: The Stick of Truth finally has a release date. After surviving the transition in publishers from now-defunct THQ to Ubisoft, Obsidian's RPG take on the quiet Colorado town will arrive before the end of the year.
In addition to the December 10, 2013, release date, the title is getting a collector's edition with both digital and physical bonuses. In addition to the "Fellowship Pack" that comes with all pre-orders (pictured below), the collector's edition comes with a vinyl Grand Wizard Cartman figure from Kidrobot and a Kingdom of South Park map.

The collector's edition will be available for $79.99. You can check out the new trailer and screenshots below, our coverage from Gamescom, and an interview we conducted with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone on the game.

I hope I speak for all gamers when I say...ABOUT *** TIME!!
Absolutely must have collectors edition, this game looks great!
For $20 more, the Grand Wizard Edition is totally worth it.
Bwahahaha! It's the "Grand Wizard" edition! I wonder how many people will get pissed at that. I hear the activist groups beginning their march.
This looks great. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Finally!! This game can't come out fast enough.
Cartman doll!!!! Who doesn't hate to love and love to hate this character!!!! LOL!!!!
I pray this game is great. I have watched this show from day ONE!!!!!
Perfect game to play on holiday that month.
Day one purchase from me. Only wish the Collector's Edition also available at Gamestop so i can at once pre-order.
I've been scouring the internet daily for any news on a release date for this, so I'm glad I can finally put that to rest. I'm slightly afraid of a possible let down, similar to what I experienced with Game of Thrones for my ps3. Still I preordered this a while back, and I can't wait. Knowing the game employs an old school Final Fantasy left vs right battle system, and I believe there are timed button presses similar to Super Mario rpg, it will fun to see how it all comes together. With this game coming out early in December, and the quality backlog of games I currently have, the wait for Dark Souls 2 isn't all that bad.
i will be getting the collectors edition on day one
Oh wow, I'd actually get the CE for this. This and Arkham Origins will probably be the last two games I buy this year.
I'm super excited for this. This purchase is a mandatory collector's edition for me.
I just wonder what the game is going to be and how it will play. I can totally see this game sucking, but then again, I can also see it being awesome.
This game looks like it will be hilarious, so glad we finally have a release date for this. As long ubisoft doesn't go bankrupt of course which I really doubt would happen, but one never knows.
