The lights are on
this is pretty much a solid 2-D platforming sonic game. if you played any of the original games, you'll feel right at home with gameplay. the homing attack was actually usefull in the game as well. the game does get very challenging later in the game (by the time you're at mad gear zone) and out of all the 2-D sonic games i played, this game probably has the HARDEST finale boss (sonic 3 being the runner up). even the special stages are hard and i recomend that you don't use motion control there. the soundtrack is very nice indeed, although i'm a little confused on why SEGA chose the 1-up tune from sonic 3 over the other 1-up tunes in other sonic game. overall if you like the original sonic games, i highly recommend it.
