Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time Goes Back To Sly's Roots

In our video preview, Tim and I talk about about where Sly has been, and where it looks like he is going in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. You can watch us tempt fate by sitting on the edge of Game Informer's roof, and see some new Sly Cooper Thieves in Time footage while you're at it.

  • I played them when they were released and again with the Sly Cooper Collection. Can't wait to get my hands on this game. Going back to the fun cartoony gameplay.
  • These were some of my favorite games way back when. I was afraid by the time they came out with another I wouldn't be interested in the series anymore, but here I am bouncing up and down in my seat every time they give us some new stuff to see.

Hoping we'll see the return of 'The Murray' as well. That always made me laugh.
  • love these games. really pumped for this one. need to wrap up Sly3 (was 75% done and the PS3 died - this was before cloud saving) in anticipation.

  • I am very excited for this game as well. I've missed playing these types of games.
  • I cant wait to play this game!

  • I really liked the first two games, especially the second one. I actually just started playing Sly 3, so I will be ready for thieves in time. Looking forward to it.

  • so excited for this one. It's been a long time coming.

  • Sounded neat. And don't fall. ;-)

  • I am cautiously excited. I'm looking forward to it but I'm not getting my hopes up for this one.

  • Day One Purchase. No joke. Any developer that keeps alive the 3D Action Platformer genre is guaranteed to get my money about 3 times over, since I'll buy it for myself and at least two others. Sly Cooper is an incredible series with an awesome HD Collection on the PS3. And the same exact thing can be said of Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter. All of them incredible games with awesome HD Collections.

And a shout out to Microsoft for Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. And, of course, Nintendo with Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2.

  • Just finished getting all three Platinum trophies in The Sly Collection. I know this'll still be a good game, but I'm worried Sanzaru will fail at capturing the atmosphere of the original trilogy :/

  • can not wait!!

  • Yea this will be good

  • Big time Sly fan and love all 3 of the previous Sly games and can't wait at all to get my hands on this game. Everything and anything about it; I know and more. I'm even an admin on a Sly Cooper Thieves in Time fan page on Facebook and we are all majorly pumped for this games release...CAN FEBRUARY COME SOONER ALREADY?!
  • what happened to murray?

  • There need to be WAY more platformers in the world right now. I'm so sick of gritty, anti-fun, overproduced, desaturated, hyper-derivative, cartoonishly violent games. Platformers > Shooters, any day of the week. There's a reason the New Super Mario Games outsell Call of Duty more than two to one. So I'm kind of pissed at the lack of platformers these days. On the N64/PSX and PS2, we had TONS of great ones. Even the "forgettable" ones - like Kya: Dark Lineage, for example - were actually pretty great. Felt great, very polished... man, I didn't know how good we had it when stuff like THAT as ignored. And the games that stood out, like Mario Sunshine (and that's easily the WORST Mario game), Psychonauts, Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper? They're AMAZING. So yes, I'm very excited for Sly 4. I wish it came out THIS year, because some downloadable Ratchet game and another janky, disappointing Epic Mickey game ain't cutting it. Where's Sonic this year too? I guess after Generations they're taking some time off to reboot him again, huh? I guess that's okay, but 2012 needs platformers bad. WHERE ARE THEY ALL!?! Sly 4 will rule!
  • sold!
  • When is it coming out
