Shadow Warrior 2
Shadow Warrior 2 was only announced a few weeks ago, and already developer Flying Wild Hog has released a gory gameplay video into the world. The fifteen minute gameplay demo contains just as much demonic combat as fans of the series would expect, but also offers a first look at the open world levels and stealth-based combat new to the Shadow Warrior games.
The video above follows the main character from the first Shadow Warrior, Lo Wang, as he chops and slices his way through a demon infested town. As you’ll see almost immediately in the demo, the linear level design from the first game is long gone. Instead, Wang is able to explore a wide and open level by running, sneaking, and climbing just about anywhere he wants.
The new mechanics look great and everything, but Wang’s one-liners steal the show. The game even managed to snag a spot on our list of the best indies from E3 2015. Look for Shadow Warrior 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2016.
