The lights are on
A new video from Rare shows off Sea of Thieves' co-op gameplay in extensive detail. Along with showing off the gameplay, senior designer Shelley Preston and Andrew Preston explain some of the design decisions behind the gameplay explaining why, for example, the person steering the ship's view is obscured by the sail.

Looks pretty phunn
this looks awesome
I haven't been paying attention, is this a full price game?
Is this going to make it out this year? I read it was going to have more alpha tests coming up and that was until May. Then a beta later in the year. There was mention of a possibility this moves to 2018. Not saying this was ever mentioned for 2017 but just wondering. I am looking for the information now but have not located it.
Finally a game with cooperative digging!
I'm looking forward to it, being that all my friends are on board so I hope I like it.
Seems like a snoozefest
I think this game depend too much on other people to have fun and going to be a flash in pan
I had a lot of fun with Viva Pinata, but between it and now this, I'm pretty sure Rare has no idea what fans actually want from them. What about complaining about wanting old school platformers like they used to make implies this will sell well?
I just don't get it, I'm sorry, I will probably play it but I just know this whole generation will be nothing but a mediocre pirate game from Rare just like the last generation being nothing but Farmville with Piantas.
The Alpha test feedback is awesome! I highly recommend anyone even slightly interested in this go read up on the players who participated's feedback to learn more.
I rarely do that, but ended up losing track of time reading countless awesome stories that people experienced even in the limited environment available to them at this stage in development. Sounds like an awesome experience.
