Scarygirl Coming To XBLA, PSN This Month

Square Enix is bringing the world of Scarygirl to XBLA and the PSN this month, giving the Hot Topic set a chance to save the world one tentacle attack at a time.

The game, based on Nathan Jurevicius' graphic novel, is coming to Xbox Live Arcade on January 18, the PlayStation Network a week later on the 24th, and on PC sometime in early 2012. Take a look at the trailer below to see Scarygirl in action, as she hops on platforms and dispenses justice with her slightly odd arsenal.

  • Looks cool, I will definitely buy this game. I'm such a sucker for side-scrolling platformers.
  • Reminds me of Alienoids, but Alienoids looked like a better game.

  • I like it already.

  • Is it just me or is this a lousy trailer? Everything is so pulled back I can't really see what's going on. I get the gist of it, but how about some close-ups of the character or the combat maneuvers or something? The art design looks cool, though.

  • Digging that art design, kinda getting vibes of LittleBigPlanet, but that's just me....
  • The music already has me sold on it...but just to be safe I'll wait for some reviews to start popping out.

  • The art is really selling me on this. It seems like a really fun game to play just to blow off some steam and enjoy the cutesy graphics.

  • I never played it, but they do have a Scarygirl mini on PS3 already. Is it any relation?

  • This is a PSN mini already, because I have it loaded to my PSP right now. I'm assuming, based on the look of this, that it is going to be a more graphically intense version of that style gameplay, maybe with trophy support?

  • Looks fun, and odd. I'll try to pick it up

  • Looks decent, not really into the style though.

  • Well looks like psn is going to get more of my money now.

  • Looks like a four players.

  • I almost thought I was watching a LBP video.
