The lights are on
Volition really impressed me with the third installment of Saints Row. This is easily one of the funnest and funniest games I've played in a long time. While I do admit the humor is low brow it never ceases to deliver laughs and thrills. I was also very impressed by the story telling Volition employed with the Campaign. This was one of the few campaigns this year that I actually cared about the characters and knew their names, which is really rare in a video game nowadays. But all this praise would be meaningless if Saints Row couldn't back it up with great gameplay. The guns perform great in this game and the precise controls give the player incredible control over the myriad of vehicles this game has to offer. The Co-op modes are also great fun, nothing beats fighting endless waves of furries and hookers with a couple of friends or running amuck in Steelport with a friend. The only reason I'm not giving this game a 10 is that there are some tedious missions like escort, and the one zombie mission, also the game occasionally freezes on me, but that is nothing frequent saving can't fix. I can easily recommend this to all of my friends and is well worth the $60.
