i will still give this a rental but man i was hoping it would be a lot better than all the reviews i have read on it so far...

A lot of other magazines and readers are giving it at least an 8/10. Famitsu, IGN, and Eurogamer chimed in with 8-8.5/10 reviews of the game. Story and characters are supposed to be pretty good, graphics aren't as intense as what FF13 delivers, and the battle system is challenging. VERY challenging. But, this is from the studio that developed Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean, after all.

Its looking like FFXIII will be the best JRPG this year! This game (RoF) may be innovative and all that, but the difficulty is what will make many people not like the game. It does take some getting used to, the battle mechanics that is.

Oh, you "heard", so based off of other people's opinion, you think the game sucks, I see how this works now.
