I personally think this game is awesome. I've been playing it since last weekend, and I've gotta say, I haven't had a moment of disappointment yet.  Gamers should definitely give the game a shot, if they own a PS3. Make your own decision as to how you feel about the game. Reviews are the opinions of the writer writing the review. It's not a set in stone impression for everyone to take as a fact. It's an opinion...nothing more or less.

With that said, rent the game, borrow it from a friend or family member, or just buy it. If you feel it's not up to par...return it. I have yet to try out the multiplayer, but my friends seem to like it. Almost finished with the campaign. Once done, I will be logging on with some friends(or random strangers if possible) and I'll give the multiplayer a shot. I'm not interested in perfection in games. Only good fun, and that's what I've been experiencing so far playing the campaign. I recommend this game to anyone with an open mind, and a fan of the series.
