Resident Evil: Revalations, Doctor Doom's Review

Whether you have played a Resident Evil game before or not, Revelations does a wonderful job in keeping the story enjoyable for both fans and casual audiences. With the current line up of 3DS games available, Revelations is a must have for any 3DS owner.

Gameplay: The player can use the 3DS pad or the extra analog available for 3DS. I played the game without the extra peripheral and the controls worked perfectly. Although switching between weapons can get confusing, any person who is use to the 3DS buttons will have no problem. I also noticed lag when changing between areas ( Like in elevators, certain doors) but it does not affect game play; It's more like a transition between areas.

Sound: Honestly, I did not expect much from the musical score present in this game. However I was excited and surprise by the great compositions within the game. The music pieces create the moods the developers intended to create. The disturbing sounds create eerie moments and spice up the events.

Graphics: The 3D effect is outstanding and even without it, the game looks marvelous. For a handheld game the graphics surpassed my expectations, and the cutscenes were beautifully done.

Entertainment: There is never a dull moment in Revelations, the game will keep the players on their toes and occasionally make even manliest of men jump. There's even a multiplayer mode if you have other friends with 3DS to play with.

Revelations is an amazing addition to the Resident Evil franchise. It brings back the horror and wonderfully implements the use of the 3DS capabilities  such as the touch screen and 3D effect. This is definitely not a Resident Evil you want to skip out on, it is one of the finer entries since Re:4.
