The lights are on
Capcom and Slant Six's upcoming shooter Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is already packing in a whole lot of fanservice, so why not add another scoop? Eight new characters have been announced for the game's special Heroes Mode, and anyone who's played their share of Resident Evil games should recognize at least a few of them.
On the good-guys' team are Jill Valentine, Chris and Claire Redfield, and Carlos Oliveira. They'll take on Hunk, Ada Wong, Lone Wolf, and Nicholai Ginovaef in the game's four on four battles. See for yourself in the trailer below!
Capcom's also unleashed a batch of new screens from the game, highlighting each of the characters. Look for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City on March 20 on the PS3 and Xbox 360, with the PC version coming sometime after that.

Sweet. Too bad you wrote Chris though, got my hopes up :(
I'm not sure how to feel about this game. It looks like it has a very arcade feel to it, but I just not sure how well the gameplay. Looking forward to playing as HUNK though.
oh this looks soo awesome
Day 1 pickup for me
I dont care if this game flops/does bad w/e Im definitely going to buy this game (hopefully day 1) just for the fact it has all these characters and its set in racoon city not Spain/Africa even though I enjoyed 4 and 5
Star Wars Battlefront 2 anyone?
Honestly I think this looked pretty cool. The inclusion of familiar playable characters is a big plus for me.
Awesome, this looks like what the whole versus mode in RE5 should have been. I'm really looking forward to getting to play as my favorites like Leon and Hunk (that Lone Wolf guy looks pretty cool too) and I'm betting they have a few more characters in the works as DLC after the game releases (*prays for Wesker*).
Well, I am interested in this game. Demo first, money out of my pocket later. Capcom seems to be out of touch with making a horror game. Maybe they should let Visceral and EA Redwood make a BioHazard and leave it as BioHazard in the US.
I am so *** excited for this game. I got to play it at PAX. Looks great, plays great, sounds great, and the story's great. It just FEELS like a Resident Evil game again. It's dark, bleak and scary, but it has the silk smooth controls of 4 and 5. Head shooting zombies is great and when the Hunters get deployed...oh, good grief I almost soiled myself. I forgot how hard to kill those bastards are.
a little sad that they change the first date of release 12/31/2011 now i have to wait 3 more months to get it, im a huge fan of resident evil, i will like to play a demo at least the waiting wont be that much.
