Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus
What was teased earlier today, has now been officially confirmed. Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus is coming exclusively to PlayStation 3 this year.
The last two Ratchet games, All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault, were experiments in the Ratchet world to a certain degree, but Insomniac says that it wants to return to the series' roots. Insomniac's community lead James Stevenson says, "It feels like the time is right to revisit Ratchet’s personal story arc," on PlayStation's blog showcasing the game.
You can check out the announcement trailer below which shows the Ratchet & Clank gameplay we are all familiar with, along with Dead Space-style anti-gravity sequences in space, as well as Portal 2-style excursion funnels.
The game will be available this holiday as a PSN downloadable game, as well as a retail release for $29.99. Right now the game is a PlayStation 3 exclusive. It's unclear if the game will release on PlayStation Vita, as well.
