The lights are on
Xseed Games has released new details and screens for its upcoming action RPG Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, the latest entry in their popular Ragnarok Odyssey franchise. The screens show new bosses, locations, and more.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE utilizes cross-platform play between the PS3 and the PS Vita, and is coming to North America early next year. As an added bonus, launch copies of both versions ship with a 25-song soundtrack.
The latest version is already out in Japan, and includes the addition of online features such as daily quests, online rankings, log-in bonuses, and random card draws that are redeemed through the use of special items. These features and other content are available free of charge for the North American version of the game after its launch.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE introduces new content to the series, including the Tower of Yggdrasil random-dungeon generator, the addition of ACE skills, and a refined battle system. Anyone who’s played the original Ragnarok Odyssey can also transfer some of their character data, including name, face, and job class, as well as weapon and monster cards. DLC can be transferred by re-downloading it from the PlayStation Store. Unfortunately, clothing, and any cards equipped to clothing or obtained via Near, cannot be transferred.
Check out the new screens below, and keep an eye out for more information on Ragnarok Odyssey ACE in the coming weeks.

game arts is still around? The ones who developed grandia, my favorite series of games. I will look into this.
Owned the first . WILL own this one as well.
yeap! gonna get this!
I am super game for this! I am just so pissed at the lack of a new Phantasy Star Online sequel for consoles, and I lack a gaming PC to jump into PSO2... not to mention, I guess, it's not out yet in the West :P
Still, I dig games like this (I also played Dragon Nest for a little bit), and I've heard this one's pretty great! I hear it plays like Shining Force Cross Raid too, and it's gorgeous & colorful. With faster combat & more imaginative art than Monster Hunter.
Thanks XSeed. For picking this up, putting out such great perks (love the soundtracks), and telling Game ARTS to put in online! Us western gamers certainly appreciate it!
I actually played the demo for this, and I was surprised how good it was. I can't wait to play the actual version.
