The lights are on
A game based on the popular, but long retired Cartoon Network show Powerpuff Girls, is coming to Steam next week.
The art style for the game is based on the recent one-off special called The Powerpuff Girls: Dance Pantsed, that premiered in January on Cartoon Network. If you prefer the classic look of of the trio, that is an option as well.
A post announcing the game on developer Radian Games' website places the game in the Metroidvania genre. You can play as all three girls, one at a time, and all the original voice actors have lent their voices to the game. You can check out the trailer for the game below, and grab it when it releases on Steam on March 14.

That's a long time coming. I can't handle their faces though.
Man, the original show was amazing. It was colorful and funny. This new art design would be perfect for a DIFFERENT show. The game? Ummm... okay?
This new artstyle is so bad, the way it looked like when I was a kid is better.
The new art style! Right in the childhood. I miss the good ol' days.
their faces...what have they done?!
I watched this a lot when i was little. I kind of miss the show, with that said I'll look into this game for nostalgic purposes. Glad we can change the art style to what it was, the new one doesn't look right, and the voice actors will be a blast from the past. Nothing better. :)
Looks like a game you'd play on your browser on the cartoon network website.
Girly or not, Powerpuff Girls was a fantastic show.
TAKE MY MONEY
Good lord do I loathe this new art direction...
I'm glad the girls are back in town. They look like they fly so slowly, though. 2D platforming just isn't my thing. I would rather see a beat-em-up.
