Pokémon Omega Ruby
Earlier in the week, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announced remakes of the Ruby and Sapphire editions of the game (sorry, Emerald fans, nothing on that yet). Today, we’ve got a look at the first footage from the title.
You’ll note that the clips of the two legendary Pokémon featured (Groudon for Omega Ruby and Kyogre for Alpha Sapphire) look very similar to the aesthetics of Pokémon X and Y. Nintendo promises that these will be full re-makes, and it appears that these titles are getting the full 3D treatment.
Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire were originally released on the Gameboy Advance in November 2002 in Japan. The titles made their way to the west, starting with North America in March 2003, followed by Australia in April and Europe in July.
These remakes will be out worldwide in November. For more, check out our breakdown of the announcement trailer.
