First the controls are easy and mostly all similar to eachother with slight differences on each character. The graphics on the characters aren't the best but look pretty well and especially the maps too look very well. Many people should know at least one of these characters as they range from Ps1 Medieval's Sir Daniel, ps vita's Kat, ps2 jak and daxter, and of course ps3 character such as Kratos and Sackboy. And with DLC they come out with new maps and characters every few months to keep the action going. The game more seems to fit for partys and with online friends. one thing that puts down the game is that some characters are unbalanced and that to kill another player, you must use a super attack which seems a bit weird to do. Overall the game feels great to play online/offline with friends, get that happy feeling of your favorite character, and well working graphics although there are some unbalances.

Blog Post: Smash Bros.' Franchise, or really, really close to it. People have also said that this game sucks. I'd like to agree to disagree with those opinions. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is it's own game....in some ways. It doesn't really steal the idea do Brawl or Melee however, because, come on, how many people have done that aside from Nintendo? Street Fighter X Tekken, Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosison, both XL and regular. It's unique, which is mainly a good thing, with few errors.

Graphics: Highly detailed, from Kratos' paint and muscles, to even cute little sack boy's fuzzy material.

Sound: Really one of r only things I dislike, but it only for a few characters. I know that Cole's voice changes in Infamous 2, but if it's the same voice in Battle Royale,(I've only played/beat the first game) that ,ight hinder my chances of enjoying it. Otherwise it's the usual actors of their games. Nolan North is still Nathan Drake, Sy Cooper sounds like Sly, etc.

Concept: Similar to Brawl's, but slightly different. Master Hand is replaced by.... Some purple headed dude who somehow has beef with every character on the game?

Replay Value:High

Overall, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is a fun game. Even though I mainly play it by myself, I personally love fighting games, and throwing in PS3 Exclusive characters seems to work. On me, at least. Look, the game isn't perfect, but hardly any games are. (Excluding Halo 4 and Sly Cooper Thieves In Time) Yes, this game doesn't really have a story, or much of an original concept, but this game is still awesome. Even for Brawl fans, you shouldn't try to knock it just because you don't like or have a PS3. But if you're a newcomer to a PS3, this game could get you started on some characters.

Forum Post: Re: More Costumes, Intros, Taunts, Etc.

If this game had more costumes, taunts, intros, etc. it would be better right? One thing to keep in mind though is that they total the average of reviews based on rating AND opinions, not just the rating, so don't look to that for a great rating. I will rate this game a 10 IF they put in more costumes, taunts, intros, etc. If not, I'll still rate it a ten because it's AWESOME.

Blog Post: Playstation smash stars

First off i have never been a big fan of fighting games so i was hesitant to buy this. The thing that pulled me in was the cross-buy feature and the fact that the game was on sale for forty dollars. I got home popped in the game and i had a blast. I would have given this a 9.5 if it were not for the fact that my Playstation 3 froze up every time I attempted online multiplayer.

Over all I loved Playstation all-stars battle royale even without the online functionality. The first thing i noticed when I started playing was the fact that it reminded me of Super Smash Brothers on the Nintendo Consoles so that was a big plus right off the bat. I went to play and i was at the character selection screen and since it was a demo, i didn't really have a lot of options. I chose Kratos from the God of War series and i was put against Big Daddy, Jax and Dexter, and two other people from the Playstation universe. I immediately tried to figure out the controls, X to jump, square to attack, triangle for an uppercut, and circle of an air attack. It was very similar to SMB, in the way that you beat the trash outta the opponents until they fly out of the arena. There are also special moves, and Kratos' as a vortex of pwnage! Overall when the demo was finished, i wanted to buy a ps3 and get the game immediately! I recommend this game completely!

Wiki: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale Guides

Guides for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

Blog Post: Super Smash Bros. Ever since I’ve played Super Smash Bros. Melee, I’ve always wanted a fighting game just like it for the PlayStation and even Xbox. I’m a huge fan of 4-player brawlers and have purchased a few games that can relate to Smash Bros. (i.e: Rag Doll Kung-Fu and Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL) over the last couple years. Now that PlayStation All-Stars has been released, was it the game that I’ve been hoping for? Find out by reading on in my good vs bad review!

As for the good things about PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale; Every character is unlocked right from the beginning. This would usually make a fighting game rather boring due to the lack of a challenge and replay value, but there are more things to unlock in this game that mostly involve customization. Costumes, taunts, battle intros, victory poses, victory music, titles, and even profile cards (much like player cards in Call of Duty) can be unlocked. All you need to do to unlock these extra goodies is play as your character of choice, level them up as much as you'd like, and then head to the Customize option in the Main Menu. Oh and just a little heads up: you can only unlock items based on the character you're playing as.

In terms of the controversial combat for this game, there's clearly some relevance to other titles. However, this game isn’t at all a copy and paste and actually does some things better than its competitors. For starters, the learning curve for PlayStation All-Stars is actually quite large compared to most games like it. The only way for you to take out your opponent is by attacking them enough to build up your super bars level. This bar can be filled 3 times and the higher its level is, the more brutal your characters super attack will be once it’s activated. Though this sounds relatively simple to accomplish, it’s far from it. Every character in the roster has a diverse style that’ll take some studying if you wish to be victorious, and button mashing definitely won’t help you win any battles.

The stages in PlayStation All-Stars are insane, which almost makes up for the fact that there are only 12 of them (and 6 "practice" maps). Just about every stage in the game is dynamic, which means that they go through changes in real-time while you're taking on your opponents. As some levels change, hazards may appear that could lower your super bar or even make you change your tactics. Thankfully, in the event that you become a victim to hazards such as falling off of the level or being eaten, it doesn’t count as a death. You will however, lose quite a few of points from your super bar and be in a stunned state for a few seconds.

After downloading and playing this game on my Vita (thanks to the new Cross-Buy system), I’ve yet to notice any significant differences between the two. Everything looks and feels the same in terms of the gameplay, though the Vita version can obviously be played on the go. As long as you have a decent WiFi connection, your ability to play online with other Vita owners and even those playing on the PS3 should be just fine. I’ve been able to play online in-between my classes and even in the lobby of my doctor’s office with very few issues regarding lag.

As for the bad things about PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale; Arcade mode (the campaign) is a pretty disappointing. Your opponents are a bit too easy to face even on the hardest difficulty, the rivalries (though pretty cool in theory) are mostly rather silly, and the cutscenes leave a lot to be desired. The games soundtrack is also a bit of a let-down, and there are a few small bugs such as being unable to see one of your opponents in online matches and having an infinite lasting level 3 super.

Aside from that, PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is definitely the game that I’ve been hoping for. If you’re a Sony fan or just like 4-player brawlers, this game is a must buy. If you aren’t any of those, I’d at least give this game a chance with a rental. But before you rent it, just know that Sony has decided to hop aboard the online pass bandwagon… PlayStation All-Stars gets a solid 8 out of 10.

Thanks for taking the time to read this review. If you liked what you read, be sure to follow me on my Youtube Page (TrueFreakinGamers) or Twitter (thatSTERLINkid) to share your thoughts!

Blog Post: Good, fun, different.

To clarify, I am, in fact, a Sony fanboy really. Just to get that out of the way. Also, I will be comparing this to Smash a lot simply because most people know Smash so its an easy comparasion point.

First, mechanics. The controls are tight and responsive. I didn't see any hiccups or wtf just happened calls or anything. However, when everyone is hitting each other rapidly, it would appear that everything slows down. I was concerned, but the others playing with me said they didn't notice anything.

Sounds are good. I like the soundtrack, but its one of those things that either you like or you don't. Sets the mood right though.

Character-wise, there are a fair amount. Not everyone I wanted to made an appearance and there are some questionable choices, but for the most part I was satisfied with the variety present. However, unlike Smash where you can get the general gist of every character, these characters are really different and unique. There are 3 directional attacks per button (excluding X), a block, and a grab. However, beyond the controls, each character's attacks differ greatly. Sly's attacks are one or two combo and the cane doesn't particularly stun or anything. However, Kratos' attacks have large combos with stuns. Colonel Radec has few attacks that can combo, but his sniper shot is devastatingly powerful. Overall, each character takes longer to master than those of Smash, which is questionably good. On a side note, Sly doesn't have any block or dodge, but rather turns invisible. In a chaotic battle, this is incredibly useful. This just shows the diversity in characters.

Now, actual gameplay. As established, kills only come from supers. I agree that the best way to play this would be time, where everyone is just trying to get the kills. It is a much more aggressive style of play than Smash. Simply waiting in a corner will do nothing, but you have to be in the middle of the action. Different characters allow for different styles. Big Daddy is great in close quarters, especially with his ground pound attack. However, Dante is (in my opinion), good for guerilla attacks, not being in the middle but attack those on the outside or fighting one-on-one. Grabbing because incredibly useful, since it actually lowers the opponents "charge" for the super. The supers themselves are a hit-and-miss. Some are great, others...not so much. In general, the first one can get one, maybe two people. This is generally a fair first power-up, since its usually close-quarters and is stoppable. However, we saw massive problems with Sly's first. Well timed, it can get all three other players. Also, its fast and can't be stopped. so its a huge nuisance. But that's the only real problem with supers we saw. The level twos can get up to 3 kills. depending on the character. Level 3, for some, is an auto-3 kill. However, for others, it makes it so attacks kill on spot and actually hitting them is somehow easier, depending on the character. Sackboy will turn them into the bubble things he pops, and Drake will turn characters into zombies from the first game. This can get up to 6 kills (that we saw) but get as low as 0 if you are inexperienced. Skillful players will either stop supers with regular attacks or with their own super. This is a hilarious and fun strategy for the stopper, but annoying for those being stopped. It takes practice though.

The gameplay differs enough from Smash that I find it fun yet not a huge knockoff. The characters are all different. The strategy for winning is different. The maps are fun and dynamic, though get stale. Its still a knock-off, don't get me wrong. But a fun and different one. It fills a different niche.

It takes a little while to get used to this way of playing. The first several matches I played, I was like "meh, this is ok I guess. Can we play Brawl?" After a while, I was willing to say that it wasn't bad, a good substitute for Brawl. After about 4 hours and playing with the right people, we all had to admit that it was a really, really fun game. Even the Nintendo fanboy (who refuses to call buttons anything different than A, B, x, and y) admitted it was fun and different from Smash, which, let's be honest, it needs to be. It is not nearly as fun with yourself, but that's the genre.

Overall, the game works great. After a while and after you stop playing it like Smash (and stop comparing it to Smash), it a blast. Just find the character you think you like and roll with it.

Blog Post: http://www.crazy-handbags.com

http://www.crazy-handbags.com Accept westernunion, moneygram, bank wire http://www.crazy-handbags.com WATCHES | POLO TSHIRTS | TRUE RELIGION JEANS | COACH HANDBAGS | UGG BOOTS SALE | DISCOUNT Rolex Watches, Cheap Gucci Shoes,Wholesale, Buy Really Cheap Ed Hardy Clothing, Discount Chanel Handbags, cheap Christian Louboutin shoes For Sale, Ugg Boots ON SALE. wholesale nike sports shoes, nike jordan shoes, paypal accept, dropshipping accept,,nike sneakers air jordan sneakers air max AF1 shox gucci adidas puma dunk kobe trainers and NFL jerseys jeans t-shirts hoody clothes Air Jordan (1-24) shoes $33 UGG BOOT $50 Nike shox (R4, NZ, OZ, TL1, TL2, TL3) $33 Handbags ( Coach Lv fendi D&G) $36 T-shirts (polo, ed hardy, lacoste) $16 Jean (True Religion, ed hardy, coogi)$30 Sunglasses ( Oakey, coach, Gucci, Armaini)$16 New era cap $16 ATO shoes $42 Gucci shoes $42 ,prada shoes $40 NBA jerseys $33 ,NHL jerseys $29 YSL shoes $85 Bikini (Ed hardy, polo) $18 YOU MUST NOT MISS IT!!! http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com http://www.crazy-handbags.com

Blog Post: Awesome fighting game is awesome

Got it. Reducing this new fighter to “clone” status is unfair to the final product, but the argument has a base. At first glance, it looks like a shameless rip-off. But upon playing it further, tweaks of varying significance become apparent.[Excerpt]

Most importantly, the method of winning these chaotic bouts is completely different than Nintendo’s franchise. Beating down on your opponents with the three face-button attacks doesn’t weaken them directly. Instead, it builds up a three-tiered super meter that unleashes progressively more devastating attacks. Sweet Tooth may strap a bomb to his opponents with a level one super, but he can turn into a massive mech form if you’re patient enough to save up all the way. Discovering what crazy attacks these characters have up their sleeves is one of the most entertaining elements of the game.

No matter what level the super is at, these attacks are the only way to kill opponents and gain points. You won’t have to worry about falling off platforms or being knocked into the horizon like you would in Smash Bros. This system changes up the experience significantly, but it can also be a hindrance. Considering these supers are the only way to earn points, it is frustrating to save up and miss several times in a row. It also makes stock battles annoyingly lengthy. These usually come down to two characters darting at each other, attempting to hit a super, and missing. In general, timed battles are the way to go with Battle Royale.

By no fault of Sony, the roster pales in comparison to Nintendo’s fighter. PlayStation has become a massive brand over the last 17 years, but the company doesn’t have the pedigree of its competitor. Pitting Kratos and Nathan Drake against each other is a nice novelty, but it doesn’t have the same feeling as industry icons Mario and Link facing off. Battle Royale’s roster has a few heavy hitters, but it also includes some low-profile competitors like Fat Princess and Colonel Radec (almost certainly to be referred to as “The Killzone Guy” by most).

Each stage is initially based on one particular franchise, but elements from a second franchise invade the area near the halfway mark. It’s a fun little surprise the first couple of times, but I grew tired of the repeating format. Playing on a God of War-inspired stage with Hades thrashing about in the background is awesome, but then it gets invaded by Patapon and changes the entire feel of the stage. A Loco Roco stage features the PSP game’s charming art style until Metal Gear Ray decides to show up and wreak havoc. I like all of these ideas for stages individually, but it seems unnecessary to mash them together.

One feature that sets Battle Royale apart from Smash Bros. is its ranking system. Individual characters level up and unlock new customization parts as you use them. Some of these unlocks come in the form of icons and title cards (similar to Street Fighter), while others tweak your character itself. If you tend to play as one character a lot, you can eventually unlock alternate costumes and new victory poses, taunts, and music for them.

Taking the fight online doesn’t offer anything that isn’t already available in local play. Basic leaderboards and stats are available, but nothing shakes up the gameplay. It may not be a revolutionary online fighting experience, but it ran without a hint of lag for me.

Sony has been pushing PS3/Vita cross play lately, and Battle Royale is one of its most high-profile experiments with the technology. In a success for the feature, the game plays and looks great regardless of which system you play it on. Playing on Vita feels like the exact same experience as the console, and it’s great to be able to play online against those that are playing in their living rooms.

All-Stars is clearly similar to Smash Bros., especially because it’s far more fun to play with friends. Solo, it quickly becomes repetitive and doesn’t give you much reason to continue. If you have company over, however, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale can be a lot of chaotic fun.

Blog Post: Sony's Heavy Hitters Face Off

By the time SuperBot officially unveiled PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, rumors had been flying for a while about a Sony-branded Smash Bros. clone.
