The lights are on
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare is coming to PlayStation systems later this summer, and today developer PopCap games released this behind-the-scenes look at the new features that will be included in the new versions.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare on PlayStation systems features full PS Vita remote play compatibility, which means that the whole game, including multiplayer and every game mode, will be playable on-the-go from the Vita with remote play activated. The PS version is also playable from tablets with a PlayStation companion app. You can see how Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare looks on PlayStation hardware in the video below.
In addition to remote play options, the PlayStation version will be getting all of the gameplay content released at that point for other platforms, including material coming right around the August 19 launch. New characters, customization options, maps, and game modes were all mentioned. Players who pre-order Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare for PlayStation systems will also receive exclusive new customization options, including Hat Packs inspired by PlayStation characters Ratchet, Clank, Sly Cooper, and Fat Princess.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare is a third-person multiplayer shooter featuring cooperative and competitive modes inspired by the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. PopCap’s multiplayer shooter released for Xbox systems on February 25, and PC on June 24. You can read our review of the Xbox versions here. Been playing it on Xbox One and it is a blast. Glad to see more players will get the chance to experience it.
This is the hat simulator of the consoles. PC has TF2, consoles have this. TONS. OF. HATS.
How much wil the game cost?
I don't know what to think. I really like the top-down play style of the mobile versions. I was never interested in this game when it was an Xbox exclusive, and I don't think that will change.
I love PvZ 1, 2 is ok. Don't care for the microtransactions, I'd rather have just paid for it like I did with PvZ 1. I may check this out. Not sure yet.
