This new look at the game features familiar characters from the series beating the crap out of each other. The trailer features lots of lightning fast attacks and lasers shooting everywhere. The animation looks great and the promise of a compelling story behind it all might be enough to set it apart from the other fighting games on the horizon.

Persona 4 Arena is slated to hit shelves August 7 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The game looks really great although it really just makes me more excited for Persona 4 on Vita. Fighting games really aren't my kind of thing.

Definitely heading over to GameStop tomorrow to preorder this. It's too bad the characters have different voice-actors, but I suppose I can deal with it as long as the rest of the game is awesome. Can't wait.

I'm really looking forward to this game, because I know it's going to be awesome, but I'm reluctant to buy a fighting game for $60 because I know I'm terrible at them. I really want to get the pre-order soundtrack though. :(

August looks awesome, especially with The Last Story, Darksiders II, and New Super Mario Bros 2, but this is probably the game I'm most excited for because it is a new Arc System Works 2D fighting game. It is going to be ultra awesome!

Seriously looking forward to this. I'm going to roll with Akihiko or Yu. Something tells me Elizabeth will destroy everyone, considering how strong she is in the bonus battle with her in 3. For those unaware, there's an entire guide on GameFAQS dedicated to beating her.

Game looks freaking amazing! I just recently got into Persona through Persona 4 anime on hulu, and then got the game. Haven't beat the game yet but I love it! I'm so getting this game too.
