What's Happening

Bowser is at it again

Remember the good ol days when vid-games didn't have to make much sense and was just in 2D? Well nintendo is bringing those days back with New Super Mario Bros. Wii and it's SOOOOO worth it. If I can compare this game to any mario game/s, it would a mixture of super mario bros. 3 and super mario world. This is because the castle levels are similar to super mario world, but the bosses are similar to smb3. You also have those ocasional airship levels from smb3 which are really fun and levels with yoshi from smw which of coarse are fun. Also the final boss is similar to the bosses in smw. The cartoon graphics is the Wii's specialty with graphics (which is of coarse what NSMBW has) making it one of the top best looking games. There's also very catchy music in the game that all fit in each level. The sound effects is what I don't need to talk about. You have two ways of playing it, nes style (wii remote sideways) and wii remote-nunchuck. You'll definately want to play it with just the wii remote and one thing I have to say with wii remote-nunchuck is pointless. You also have other sections to play like coin challenges and free for all which is fun for multible people. It's best to play the story mode (in my opinion) with two players because unlike in single player, if a player dies the level continues until both players either die at the same time or in a bubble. If one player dies, (unless he/she has no lives left) the player comes back in a bubble ready to start playing again. There's also the special giude for when you die in a level for a surtain amount of times. It's good for players who are playing a 2D mario game for the first time, but experts would be very embarassed to use it. Overall, this is a fun throwback to the original mario games that has TONS of replay value. It's a must for wii owners.
