Need for Speed: Shift Thoughts

This game is something of a stand by while I wait for GT5 to hit the shelves. I am not comparing this game in anyway to GT5 or any other racer for that fact. However I will compare it to other NFS titles in the pass. In the pass I have always had fun with their fast pass arcade cheesie stories.

Shift does shift into a different direction but I don't think in a very good way. I found myself thinking if they wanted to go more sim then they should have done a little more. NFS: Shift gives you the chance to upgrade cars and race them in bigger events then before, but if I was you I wouldn't do that I would buy a better car and or the "Best Car" from each teir. This makes the game very easy. Another thing avoid their advance tunning it's backwards and not going to help you at all with some of the cars. No matter how much you play around with the car your still going to have the basic over all feel of the car and how it is going to preform from the basic set up.

If you take away the idea that they wanted to make it feel more like a sim, then you end up with an amazing NFS. The game has some fun tracks, makes you feel like a real racer, and keeps going for a bit.

So my final say in this Need for Speed: Shift is that play have fun with it but rightnow leave the sim part out and have fun with your NFS title.
