Racing To Launch With The PS4

The list of PS4 launch titles keeps getting longer, with Need for Speed Rivals being the latest entry. The racing game will launch with the PS4 on November 15 before coming over to the PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 19 and the Xbox One on November 22.

Ghost Games' Need for Speed Rivals features cop versus racer gameplay and an online racing system called AllDrive, where players can collide with ongoing events. The game supports remote play with the PS Vita.

Need for Speed Rivals will be the only racing game available at launch for the PS4. Be sure to stay up-to-date by checking our list of launch titles for the PS4

  • It's so weird seeing Ferrari in this game again. But it's a good kind of weird!
  • Can't wait! Great game to add to the launch title list.

  • It releases on PS4 first, then it'll be on other consoles in the next 4days. So can we qualify it as a Timed exclusive?
  • I may get this after it's been out a couple of months. I was let down by Most Wanted and the couple before that. IMO, Carbon was the last really good NFS.

  • Good move by Sony. Makes the Driveclub delay not seem as bad.
  • Good news for the PS4 early adopters, but for me personally this game is not one of my launch day pickups.  I liked NFS Most Wanted and I enjoy racing games, but I have other games to get when the PS4 launches that this will have to wait.

  • A whole 4 days of exclusivity! Sony is the best company in the world!
  • Is the series still any good? I've stepped away from NFS after Carbon.

  • Meh..

  • I'll get this at the launch of the Wii U.
  • Isn't the list of xbox one launch games getting longer with the release of Need for Speed Rivals being the latest entry? Or does the xbox one now come out prior to November 22?
  • Good.  It was kind of a jerk move by EA to release the PS4 version on the Xbox One release date like they originally planned.  But it's EA so it wasn't really surprising.

  • NFS: The Run was terrible.. NFS: MW 2012 was lazy.. why am I still looking forward to this one?

  • YES. This is good news.

  • Seriously? They're trying to spin the fact that they're launching a week earlier, and thus having games come out a week early, as a timed exclusive for that one week period? This reeks of desperation.

If this is a sign of the deals they claimed they would be striking with EA to counteract Ryse and Titanfall they shouldn't have even bothered.
  • Must contain myself, already spending to much money. Need to Speed, no need to keep money, no need. NEED NEED!!!!!! Dang it.

  • Smart move. Since DriveClub has been delayed EA will be able to publish Rivals unrivaled (pun intended) for a week on all consoles and longer on PS4 since DriveClub was delayed. Hopefully my favorite racing series will FINALLY take a turn for the better.
  • I'm not really a racing game fan but more games available at launch can only be a good thing.

  • Cool, I guess, if that's your thing.. Yes, Sony's list of launch titles is getting longer, but there are none that interest me! Knack(no), and Killzone series has never been good, let alone worth buying the PS4 to play, the rest are cross platforms and indies(I'm not big on Indies).. So even though I am excited about the future for PS4 exclusives, i will be keeping my Xbox One for Dead Rising 3, Ryse, BF4, Titanfall(march!!) Forza, and online gaming.. But I will be selling my PS4 on eBay until the time comes when Sony brings out the GAMES worth owning a system for.. Hopefully soon!!! That's just my opinion on the state of Sony's launch Lineup
  • Man, I'll have to wait an ENTIRE WEEK to get my copy on the Xbox One. What a drag. lol
