MX vs. ATV: Supercross
When we spoke with Nordic Games at Gamescom 2013, business and product director Reinhard Police told us that his company would bring back MX vs. ATV. It was one of the core franchises that motivated Nordic's acquisition of many of THQ’s game properties in April 2013. Today, fans of the series finally see the fruits of that deal with the release of MX vs. ATV: Supercross for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The sixth game in the popular dirt bike racing series, Supercross, features a customizable selection of vehicles from 80 motorcross companies and 60 pro riders, both old and new, to ride them with. In career mode, players can race in five different series on the game’s seventeen different tracks.
A racing game isn’t worth much if it doesn’t feature multiplayer, which Supercross delivers both online and offline. Players can compete with their friends in two-player split-screen and online races of up to twelve players. Nordic Games has also promised to update the game regularly with new content.
MX vs. ATV: Supercross is out today for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC release soon to follow. Check out the launch trailer above to see the game in action.
