The lights are on
Sony and developer Evolution Studios have revealed the next entry in the MotorStorm series, and it looks like things are getting smaller.
According to the PlayStation Blog, MotorStorm RC takes the ridiculous racing of MotorStorm and shrinks it down to radio-controlled size. The title will release on both PSN and Vita, and buying it for one platform gives you access on the other. In other words, you can jump between the PSN and Vita versions while retaining your progress (and not paying for the game twice).
You can see what's in store in the trailer below, but the short version is that MotorStorm RC has 8 racing categories, 16 tracks, and four-player multiplayer (on PS3). Considering the gonzo direction the series went with MotorStorm Apocalypse, anything that brings the series closer to craziness (like RC racing) will probably cement its identity. Look for MotorStorm RC in Spring 2012.

this looks kinda cool. It definately taps into the childhood imagination.
Honestly, I like this idea, I may even get this, money permitting ofcourse. But I actually enjoyed these down-scaled games, I loved Small Brawl, and I had tons of fun with those Hotwheel games as a kid. But I think this is a good move personally, it's a cool new perspective on the game. But the biggest problem I see with it is the top down perspective, no one wants to race like that. But as long as the racing is as solid as it was in the previous installments then I don't see anything wrong with just switching the perspective to you being tiny rather than you being normal size, it's a neat perspective that isn't explored that often.
It doesn't look terrible. Hopefully I like it more than Apocalypse. That game sucked.
A game about R/C cars...wonderful.
I may consider this since I'd get it for both systems - would be nice to keep progress regardless of which system I play it on. Can I have this type of progression saving for Skyrim?
lol looks so much fun.
this looks very similar to a bunch of other online/downloadable mini racing games
This looks pretty cool... plus "In other words, you can jump between the PSN and Vita versions while retaining your progress (and not paying for the game twice)" sounds great XD
RC cars. Neat. Jumping between platforms is a really great idea, too.
Great! I remeber the days of playing RC Pro-Am for Nintendo! I just have to get used to the controls of these cars again.
Oooh lol this looks fun :)
BANANA , that is all
