Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate's Release Date Officially Nailed Down

We knew Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate was coming in March, but now we know the exact date. We have also learned that a demo is coming.

Both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game are coming to North America on March 19, and to Europe on March 22. That release dates cover both physical disc and cartridge versions of the game, as well as digital download versions on both consoles. The demo for the game, which will also release simultaneously for both the Wii U and 3DS, is coming February 21.

Question for the fans: Is Monster Hunter a good enough reason to get a Wii U this early? I'm a little paranoid about getting a console in its first year after the Xbox's Red ring of Death and the PS3 power cords catching fire.

Sweetness and the cover art looks dope. I think it will be time to purchase a 3ds when this and pokemon x and y coming out down the line. I just wish you would've been able to transfer your monster hunter tri save for the wii to this game somehow,but being able to transfer saves between the 3DS and WII U is good enough. It still dumbfounds me that Pokemon wouldn't take the same approach to the upcoming X and Y. It would've pushed hardware sales for both platforms and made it more convenient.

finally ... i've been eyeballing this game since a bit before the original wii version came out. hopefully i'll be able to get the wii u version close to release ( life doesn't always work as hoped tho)

It's good that a release date for this game was announced. Now, should I get this game for my 3DS and future Wii U? I still don't know if I should get it. How good is the Monster Hunter series?
