Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition

Minecraft for the Xbox 360 is the best world creating simulator available for the Xbox 360. This game lets you explore humongous randomly generated worlds.  I’ve traveled far and wide and was never able to find an invisible wall like in games from the past, Spyro, Super Mario 64, Megaman, etc… In my journeys I have discovered many strange creatures like Creepers, Endermen, and mooshrooms.

Besides the strange creatures this game has another unique aesthetic, if you haven’t noticed yet, everything is made from blocks! Wonderful, wonderful blocks, this is a Lego man’s dream come true. The blocks come in different sizes, textures, and colors, and with these blocks you can build anything you can imagine. Even electronic mechanisms and rail systems are available for you to work with. One thing you should keep in mind though is that the game has two different modes: The first is survival mode which the objective of the game, if you haven’t gets it by now, is survive! Your placed on a randomly generated world with only a map to begin your survival, which doesn’t have any markings on it yet, because if you want to fill it out you have to travel around first, but that doesn’t matter, because the first thing on your mind should be building a shelter and making a bed if you want to make it past nightfall. The reason why you want to do this is because during the night cycle of the game zombies, skeletons, and spiders will be coming after you and you’re going to need a shelter if you want to survive. Another thing you need to protect yourself from these monsters is torches to keep the monsters at bay.  Besides trying to survive monster attacks in survival mode, you can mine into earth and find precious minerals like diamond, redstone, gold, and iron, which you can use to build better tools and mechanisms. The other mode is called creative mode which allows the player access to all the game blocks from an easy to access menu and this save you the time and hassle of finding the materials in survival mode, but once you enter creative mode achievements are no longer unlockable  in the world that you made creative. Another feature in creative mode is the ability to fly which makes creating things much easier, especially when working on a vertical structure. Using creative mode I was able to build a workable elevator with a friend of mine. Speaking of friends you can play online with up to eight of them at the same time, which is a lot of fun by the way. So yea that’s minecraft in a nutshell and I hope you found this review helpful.
