Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Since the reveal of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, we’ve learned about Talion and his quest for revenge against the dark lord, Sauron. We’ve also known that somehow, he became bonded to a wraith that gives the ranger inhuman powers.
Today, we finally learn who that spectral being is and why he is helping Talion. Celebrimbor was one of the elven lords that fashioned the rings of power (as Sauron made the One Ring in secret).
The evil lord turned on Celebrimbor, torturing him and murdering his family (explaining his reasoning for choosing Talion as an ally). Because elves are immortal, Celebrimbor chose to remain in Middle-earth rather than return to the Undying Lands.
The two will work together to work their way into Mordor and take the fight to Sauron. Revenge and the excellent Nemesis system will be yours a week earlier than expected (as we reported this morning). Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will be out on September 30 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. For more, check out our E3 preview.
