Getting Personal With Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor

The game's Nemesis system is vital to disrupting the orc forces, and it also provides a personal record of your triumphs and failures.

The trailer below not only shows the Nemesis system's menu screen, but also how your actions affect it and the world.

For my hands-on impressions of the title, take a look at this previous preview.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor comes out for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 7.

  • Wow. This game looks great! The lighting on it for some parts of the game are very impressive.
  • Everything about this game screams play me first in October, and I shall answer that call.
  • I can't believe how cool this is.
  • Everything I see for this game makes me want it all the more.

  • October 7th...."It is a gift......" (Boromir voice)
  • I'm pretty excited about this Nemesis system. It appears to actually be a new dynamic game element that we've never really had in other games.

  • The more I see of this game, the more I want it. I think it will have great gameplay and be extremely fun. I just hope the Nemesis system delivers because that is a big innovative selling point for me. I also really like the Orc design.
  • Already preordered :)

  • Gameplay-wise this game looks awesome, however the entire premise of this game breaks the LOTR canon in just about every place possible. :/
  • This game looks so good,I can't wait to play this come October.

  • Cool beans.

  • The Nemesis System is cool and all, but I'd much rather get a glimpse of the game's open world.
