Check Out Nearly 30 Minutes Of Metal Gear Solid V Gameplay Footage

Konami has posted two separate videos, 13-minutes apiece, that showcase plenty of Metal Gear Solid V gameplay.

Both videos are in Japanese, and showcase what was shown at TGS last week. For more Metal Gear Solid V info, check out our recent interview with Hideo Kojima, and five important changes coming to Metal Gear.

Konami also just posted the English version of Metal Gear Solid V's first trailer, where we get a good dose of Snake's new voice.

  • You don't have to tell me twice to watch Metal Gear gameplay. Hell, you don't even have to tell me, just as long as I don't have to use your awful video player.
  • Doesn't look as good graphically as the reveal trailer IMO...
  • This looks right on par with The Last of Us and GTA V where it just goes beyond the limits of what we thought current gen was capable of and it changes my mind of what I think about this gen so far. All I want is a release date, enough with the hype just give me a release date already. I'm ready now.
  • This honestly look like a Metal Gear I might actually buy and fully like that isn't Rising.
  • I can't speak for the story, I've never played another one of the series, but the gameplay looks great.
  • I remember a time where game devs wouldn't show off their game too much because they were sure it was a hit and too much reveal would dull the shine. Am I wrong in worrying that showing off too much news about an anticipated game can dull the craving or exhaust the hype?
  • Not gonna watch the gameplay because I'm almost 100% sure that I'll be buying it anyway. Something this long is bound to spoil something, even if it's just a minor thing like a level. Looks great from the little I've seen so far though.
  • awesome!

  • Snake showing speed and agility. Gameplay looks awesome, yet interesting twists to original.

  • Disliking this health regen. I understand lenience for difficulty of open world stealth, but that health regen is too much.

Need more punishment for getting spotted.
  • I still find it hard to believe that this is all current gen. It looks fantastic. I've been waiting for an MGS title like this ever since I finished MGS4. I can't wait to play it.

  • I wish some things were like the Last of Us. Joel wasn't a starfish, he didn't instantly regenerate his health when it was low; Joel healed himself by bandaging himself up which lasted a few seconds and I felt that that was realistic and cool. Also, you were pretty much dead if you got detected, at least I was, so stealth was something that was necessary and added so much suspense.

I also wish that peripheral vision was used more. I'm pretty sure that guard could have seen Big Boss crouching behind that tent thing through the corners of his eyes.

Other than those things though, I really can't wait to no-life this game!
  • I don't have a clue what the story is about, but the game looks very real, and if past games are an indication, this should be a good one.

  • This game looks totally boss!
  • interesting video man skill very quite gun sleep enemy ZZZ pick move put hide people don't look interesting good story.
  • Mod

The freedom and fluidity of snakes movement look absolutely astounding. Did you see all the stuff he was doing with CQC?!

I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on this.

  • *has heart attack due to epicness*

  • Disappointed with the dumbed down approach of the gameplay. Looking through walls, infinite health, tagging enemies, getting shot with paintballs. Goodbye Tactical espionage action. Stealth doesn't matter anymore. :(
  • Someone tell me what is the difference between Ground Zeros And MGSV?
