Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance's Latest Trailer Highlights Four Bosses

The latest trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance showcases four of the game's bosses, and they all impress.

Mistral has a dozen or so arms, Sundowner is a gigantic brute, Samuel looks like he shares many of the same strengths as Raiden, but Monsoon has to be my favorite. He's made of segments, which means Raiden is going to have a heck of a time trying to chop him up.

Check out the trailer below, and get ready for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on February 19 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

  • Awesome.

  • The game just looks epic! Can't wait!
  • Why is Mistral touching herself?
  • I'm so excited for this. These battles look sweet too.

  • Big Boss and Solid Snake may as well had just done nothing because from what I see the MGS universe still went to sh*t. I seriously hope Kojima makes this non canon or that it has a really cool twist ending or something. I like what they're doing with this but the fact that this ties into what happened in the MGS games really urks me. Like it was all for nothing.
  • I don't know how I feel about this... DMC/Bayonetta playstyle in a MG environment overloaded with QTA events?
  • woooowwww that 2nd boss was soo cool! One thing about MGS games thats always so great is the boss battles and it looks like platinum have done a good job with them!
  • That looked so sweet.

  • Yay, this is going to be just as awesome as the other Metal Gear games... Only this has zero focus on stealth :-D
  • Looks cool

  • Better have the Japanese voice track...it Sounds so much better!
  • "Cutting Soon." See what they did there?

  • Imagine that, a character action game with what looks to be fantastic boss battles.

  • Dmc, This, Ninja Gaiden Razor's Edge (only this version), and possibly the Wonderful 101 has gotten my melee action game juices flowing like never before.

I don't care for the God of War style of combat, holding L1 and pressing square for instant 1000 hit combos doesn't do it for me but I'll still enjoy the new one to a lesser degree this year too.

It's a good time to be an action gamer. The last couple years have been too shooter focused.
  • This game looks great! Can't wait to play it.

  • Seriously! Can this game get more INSANE!?^^

  • Mistral and all those hands is quite...kinky to me (this is coming from a female gamer). MSG is the only game where the villains have ALWAYS made my skin crawl one way or another. Now with all these lovely killer gadgets it should be downright repulsive. Looking forward to it just the same.
  • Are English subs to mu to ask?

  • I can't believe this game comes out so soon. The games industry sucks sometimes. There's NO TIME to play Christmas games anymore; instantly, we're hit with DmC, Ninokuni, Sly 4, Fire Emblem, Metal Gear Rising, etc. And you just KNOW that nothing interesting is coming out all summer long - couldn't these games WAIT awhile? It's also weird how Devil May Cry's reboot just came out and now Hideki Kamiya's next game is coming out a few short weeks after it. I mean, Kamiya made DmC; now he gets to see what other people do with it, AND he gets to bring his awesome brand of action and violence to Metal Gear! Funny how that worked out...
  • Mistral reminds me of Mantis from MGS4; guess it's the arms.
