The lights are on
MechWarrior Online, the free-to-play mech combat game, has officially left its beta behind and become a fully-grown adult video game.
Version 1.0 has officially launched. There is no longer a need to sign-up to be part of the beta. If you want to play, just head here. More than 1.3 million players have already registered, so it shouldn't be a problem to find someone to face off against, or with.
In honor of the launch, a MechWarrior Online tournament will be held in San Fransisco on September 26. It's too late to register to play in the tournament, but it will be streaming here starting at 2 PM PST on September 26.

huh
Awesome. Can't wait to take it for another run.
One of the best online shooters i've ever played. Exactly the mechwarrior game i've been waiting for for many, many years.
I just spent a few hours with this it can be fun but i doubt i'll continue playing for long if they dont add more its basically just two modes assault and conquest. And I dont care for the f2p model either but i suppose those are the times we live in.
Glad to see it looks more like the old mechwarrior games based on the battletech customization. Wicked excited to try this out.
Downloading this game the first chance I get. I need a good Mechwarrior game to play. This seems right up my alley.
