Marvel Contest of Champions

New Trailer And Screens Surface From Comic-Con

Marvel has announced a new mobile game based on its superheroes universe. It’s being developed by free-to-play giant Kabam.

Not a whole lot is known about the game yet. It looks to be a brawler in the same vein as Injustice: Gods Among Us, though. Check out some of the gameplay from the trailer and see some of the characters up close in the image gallery below.

Marvel Contest of Champions will hit your mobile devices this fall.

  • SWEET! And for once it doesn't look based on the movies!
  • I'm surprised it took this long for them to clone it. Here's hoping it's a good one.

  • They should have put that on consoles as well especially since most of the stuff they have been put out on Ios has been failing and it's due to the controls and other factors the only people that have reviewed most of those other titles are the people of EPN.TV which Victor Lucas's crew he was with Tommy Tolerico (video games live) this past weekend at comic' con too.. I hope this has better controls then the other IOs titles prior to it . Cause man they are not good at all
  • We need a Marvel fighting game for consoles. If DC can do it with the stellar Injustice: Gods Among Us (which I'm still playing on PS4), I'm sure Marvel can make a fighting game just as good.
  • I have to echo the sentiments of others here by saying it's a waste to take a concept like this and make it exclusively mobile or mobile first. I get the comparison to Injustice: Gods Among Us, but right now this game is nowhere near that league. (No pun intended). At least it isn't a rehash of Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects (which I personally think had potential, but was a generation before its time).

  • I was just thinking about this a few days ago and I'll say it again and again until they wise up.... Marvel desperately needs their own in-house game studio. The stuff they've got now is fine and all, I play Marvel Heroes, the War of Heroes mobile game and I did play Puzzle Quest until they re-balanced it to force you into spending money (neither here nor there). Point is, they're going all-in on mobile and kid-friendly stuff like Disney Infinity, which is fine, but I don't think I 'm only speaking for myself when I say I long for the days of badass Marvel games. X-Men Legends, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Ultimate Alliance, all the Capcom fighters, most of the pre-Beenox Spidey games, Volition's Punisher game, the SNES/Genesis X-Men games (Mutant Apocalypse and Clone Wars) and even more recent stuff like Raven's Wolverine Origins and High Moon's Deadpool. I'm genuinely glad they're done pumping out cheap movie tie-ins, but we need some Marvel games with some meat on the bones.
  • Alright, a new Marvel fighting game! Can't wait to play...

    " game..."

    Aw dang.

  • Its official. Marvel vs. Capcom is dead.
