First-person physics puzzlers are likely going to be compared to Portal for some time. Valve set a high bar with its gameplay and narrative. Guru Games is taking a run at the genre with its own twist in Magnetic: Cage Closed.

Players will find themselves captive in a prison that doesn’t subscribe to many ethical strictures. Residents are used in scientific and psychological testing, in a series of test cubes.

With the help of a prototype magnet gun, you’ll need to manipulate the environment (and yourself) to reach the exit of each room. Along the way, you’ll also be posed with moral quandaries.

You’ll be able to find out if Magnetic: Cage Closed lives up to the standard set by others in the genre on PC on May 26. The title is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later.
