Bonuses Await Those Who Reserve Lost Planet 3 On Steam

Capcom is offering bonuses to those who reserve Lost Planet 3. The more people that reserve game, the better the bonuses will be.

There are three tiers of reserve bonuses. The first goal to unlock the first tier has already been met.

  • Tier 1: Freedom Fighter's Pack - Five characters and two Rig upgrades
  • Tier 2: The Freedom Fighter's Pack, plus Punisher Pack - Three long-range weapons and two Rig upgrades
  • Tier 3: The Freedom Fighter's Pack, the Punisher Pack plus copies of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and Bionic Commando: Rearmed

Currently, there second tier is 17% of the way towards its goal. Lost Planet 3 releases on August 27 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, but these rewards appear to be exclusive to Steam customers.

  • The only one of these I've played was very mediocre, yet pretty. I think this one will probably follow suit.
  • Quite nice way to do it :D And i like the sound of the Tier 3 bonus!

  • Steam wins once again.

  • Wii U?
  • This isn't the first time this has happened. Steam did this with Tomb Raider before it released as well.
  • Siliconera reports that, at least in Japan, Lost Planet 3 will have a tie-in with Pacific Rim of some sort. I'd actually like to know what THAT is - this stuff is all useless, typical pre-order DLC-type content. If Spark & Capcom are crazy/cool enough to put in, say, a Gipsy Danger "skin" for one of the rigs, that would be really neat.
  • Trying to get more people to buy a game (with DLC extras) nobody wanted made in the first place Cashcom hit a new low. played lost planet 1 wanted to pull out my fingernails game sucked and I assume this is just as bad and looking at all the Cashcom games that have been released in the last few years it wouldn't surprise me. (Examples: Resident Evil 6, Street Fighter 4 all 16 versions,Ultimate and regular Marvel V.S. Capcom 3, Dead Rising 2 Off The Record, Asura's Wrath, and Street Fighter X Tekken)
  • Okay, I realize GI is a predominantly console focused bunch but yes, this is a Steam-specific thing. They've been doing this for a while now, it's how my one friend got XCOM:EU and Bioshock 1 with Bioshock Infinite. The real problem with this one is, after Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil: Revelations, Capcom doesn't seem to know what to offer as a pre-order bonus for the game. If these were better games and more intriguing DLC, I might have considered, but I'll stick with waiting a bit and hearing the reviews.

Edit: Also, it's at 19% for Reward Tier 2. They've already cleared Reward Tier 1
  • Thats how its been for quite a few games on the Steam, Defiance and Resident Evil: Revelations come to mind.

  • I played one and 2 and after 1-2 hrs into I just couldn't stand it anymore. They are the only 2 games that I can remember ever playing wishing I never did.

Also, bionic Commando Rearmed is just a basic side scroller. I just cant stand those types of games unless they are games from NES, SNES, Genesis, etc.
  • Lost planet is an awesome series!

    Especially part2!

Part 1 is my favorite game to play in the winter.
