The lights are on
Lone Survivor, the pixelated PC indie horror success, is available today on PlayStation 3 and Vita.
The game's creator, Jasper Byrne, shared a launch trailer for the game's PS3/Vita director's cut as well as a few details about the game's re-release. Apparently, Byrne's original intention was to create a straight-forward port of the PC version of the game, but decided to use the opportunity to add new features, tweak certain aspects like the lighting, and even fix a few bugs that, "800,000+ people who own the game had hadn’t yet reported!" Byrne said in a post on his website.
Byrne also promised that the director's cut of the game is not a PlayStation 3 and Vita exclusive, and will be heading to the PC whenever he gets a chance to work on it.
Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut is a Cross Buy and Save title, and it is available now.

Wow, I had no idea this game was so successful! I assumed the game had sold about 1/10th that amount. (It probably got a big boost from being featured in Humble Indie Bundle V, though.)
Great game; definitely deserves the success and attention. I did run into a bug during my playthrough that I never reported, though (rotten meat stopped working on enemies once I left the apartments for some reason; makes a pacifism run a lot harder).
Yay, PC version.
Well I'm glad, it's a good game. I just get a huge dose of nostalgia from playing anything with a pixelated art style.
Chills.. frickin' chills from that trailer. I know what I'm buying on payday.
Considering availability, that 800k mark is pretty awesome. I didn't know that so many people still play games on PC!
I think I wanna check this out.
I had never heard of this game before the director's cut was announced. After checking some reviews and hearing what people think of it I purchased it from PSN. Just need to wait until I get home and download it.
This looks so dumb to me, I can't understand how it could sell that many copies. That being said, we all like different games so apparently a lot of us like Lone Survivor!
Who does this song???? It's amazing!
Got this on PC through the Humble Bundle thing. Really enjoyed what I played of it.
I remember hearing about this, I wasn't even aware it was out, though, much less such a success.
