The lights are on
We don't know much about Lollipop Chainsaw, the next game from Suda51's studio Grasshopper Manufacture, developer of Shadows of the Damned. What we do know is the main character, Juliet Sterling, chops the undead into pink little bits using her chainsaw and she has some dude's head hanging from her waist.
According to Andriasang's translation of a Famitsu article, Juliet is a cheerleader who must ward off zombie invaders from her high school on her 18th birthday. We're not sure what type of game Lollipop Chainsaw is, but it looks to be an action game in the vein of Dead Rising. There's no confirmation of a Western release for the quirky title, but that shouldn't stop you from checking out more shots of the game below.
To check out the rest of the Lollipop Chainsaw screens, head over to Famitsu.

That's definitely something.
i would play that!!!!! hah cant be as awkward as playing catherine in front of your friends
Looks pretty cool...I would definitely give it a go, so to speak...
Definitly looks... interesting. Have they announced what system(s) it's going to be for?
I know I will buy it, but after the Shadows of the Damned flopped (great game imo) I wonder if it's going to be as quirky as Suda51 is known for.
sorry but this just loooks... bad
If it's coming from Grasshopper it's gotta be... weird.
Well, it definitely looks interesting. But hey, I have faith in Grasshopper Manufacture to make a great game. No More Heroes 2 and Shadows of the Damned were both crazy, yet polished and great, so I have very little doubts that this will reach around that mark of quality.
***, another zombie game? really?
I could quite possibly pick this up if it has a north america release. Suda 51 has become one of my favorite studio's of recent. Shadows of the Damned was pretty awesome. Hopefully this could be as inventive and fun as that game.
