Lightning Returns Video Showcases Over 40 Costumes

It may not have been made entirely clear in Final Fantasy XIII or its sequel, but Lightning's character is apparently a huge fashionista.

The trailer showcases more than 40 of the different outfits that Lighting will be able to wear during the final part of the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. They go by quick, but there are many recognizable outfits from other Final Fantasy games, including Final Fantasy VII.

  • Square, Remember this...Claire is a top notch soldier & and the g.... oops my bad but she's a total bad-a** and I understand having a costume as a joke...but a friggin Chocobo Hat>!?!? LOL my Gosh

  • I made the mistake of buying the first game and told myself never again. Then they promised that 13-2 would fix issues that all the fans had and so I bought... never again. But now I am 2/3 done with the story so I might as well finish it you know? I swear FF15 BETTER be good! But the fact that FF15 once had FF13 logo slapped on it does not bode well... not in the slightest. I've been a long time running fan of FF but I think 15 might make it or break it for me.

  • Wait, I thought those outfits are powers like type of elements:Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Water, Earth, Poison, Aero, etc.

  • This sort of crap is why FFXIII is a joke. The gameplay was horrible, the story was nonsense, and almost all of the characters are forgettable. Now we've got a ten hour long game that's basically a fight on a runway?

So glad it took them years longer to release Versus/XV so they could work on this junk. I'd hoped Square had learned from X-II, but apparently not.
