The lights are on
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham features a roster of more than 150 playable characters, which means that some of DC's lesser-known heroes and villains (and animals) will get to share the spotlight with members of the Justice League and other big names. Traveller's Tales and Warner Bros. Interactive have revealed some of those obscurities at San Diego Comic Con 2014, along with a new gameplay trailer. Say hello to Bat-Cow, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Booster Gold, and more.
The trailer shows off several of the Justice League members (and their spiffy new costumes) fighting baddies in a traditional way, as well as in Resogun-like shooter sections. I watched the trailer with comic superfan Andrew Reiner, and he noticed that there's a character in there who looks an awful lot like the werewolf Warren Griffith. Could we be seeing more of the Creature Commandos, a group of good guys that includes Frankenstein, a mummy, a vampire, and other classic creatures.
When you're done with the trailer, take a look at the gallery below to see images of the newly revealed characters.

Wow, Krypto the Superdog, really?
I couldn't help but giggle a little when the ducks were turned into lego chicken.
Why bother calling it LEGO Batman at this point? Just call it LEGO Justice League.
This game is going to be sick :D
