LEGO Batman Is Back For More Brick-Breaking Action In New Trailer

Batman is cleaning up the streets of Gotham City (again), but he's brought some friends with him this time. In LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Green Lantern join Batman and Robin in their mission to turn the Joker and his goons into tiny piles of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene.

The game features a cast of 50 playable characters from the DC Comics universe, and a hub world based on Gotham City. The biggest change, however, could be the addition of talking minifigures. Does this mean the days of pantomimed cutscenes are over? Have we entered the age of talkies? We'll let you know when we learn more. In the meantime, check out the game's trailer below.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is coming this summer to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, and PC

  • I have never played a lego game, but i have to say this is very intriguing.
  • A Lego game with voice-overs? O.o
  • kida stoped playing lego games, but the 50 playable character seem interesting.

  • Mod
Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. Was that Mark Hamil as the Joker or just a REALLY good impersonator?
  • Superman's in the game...interesting, being Superman seems to be video gaming's kryptonite...
  • this may be as close as we ever get to a Superman game that isn't terrible. This one now has my attention.
  • Hopefully it's out on the original Psp also and just not the Vita (I just refuse to buy a Vita, doesn't interest me that much) Agreed though that this could be a way to make Superman actually fun to play in a video game.

  • Man, LEGO games are great.

  • Wait a second? Lego Joker was actually talking at the end?  That's a big step for the franchise.

  • got tired of the lego games last one i played to be fair the first batman lego game was also my last. however with diablo3 being given a release date i wont buy any thing else this year

  • I love the lego games. It's just hilarious. But talking figures? No. for once I'm actually not going to get a Lego game. They are funnier with no real voices.
  • a couple of those set pieces seemed to come from Arkham city. if the batman theme music is evident throughout this game i will buy it.

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!! i have the first one but this looks REALLY GOOD!

  • I think the pantomimking made it funnier, hope its not to far away from the others.

  • When they started playing music from Batman: The Animated Series, I was won over.

  • My son is going to go nuts when he sees this.  Lego games are pretty fun for any adult that plays games with their young child.

  • Hope they make Lego Lord of the Rings.
  • Cool! I hope i get to play it.

  • It's like LEGO Superfriends LOL!!  Except Aquaman has been replaced with the Green Lantern...and no annoying Wonder Twins.  Good call on both counts LOL.

  • my son is patiently waiting for this game to come out.. he loves the lego games, especially the first batman one. i cant wait myself for it. another great game to sit down and play with side by side with my boy!
