The lights are on
I am typically not a story guy. And for me to get into an RPG story is even harder since I haven't found one thats good yet. But this game elegantly drew me into the conflict.Presenting me with the question of how did the character die, why did he come back to life? Also, the enemy is clearly defined being the Taurtha Fae (no clue how to spell that) and you can actually find out more about them by asking pretty much every single NPC who has a different answer to the question. I hate when RPGs have a bunch of stuff happen and have this attacking that and theres no real way to find out whose enemy is whose whats going and why are people fighting? I normally have to google that stuff if I'm interested enough.
I don't think I have to mention how fun the gameplay is for this RPG considering thats what all the critics credit this game with. And it is incredibly fun and I'm not trying to downplay it at all, but TRUST ME this game has much more to offer. the world is pleasant and colorful, and most NPCs have something different to say about the plot. In Skyrim you can't ask the NPCs questions about the conflict, and if you could you're your options were limited. Reckoning gives you plenty more options.
I'd love to know what you guys think too. Do you like the story? If you don't whats wrong with it? Did you try to talk to many of the NPCs in the beginning?
yes given it has more dialouge options, they dont seem to really twist "fate" as much as they pushed it to seem.
