Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

New Screens Arrive From The Kingdoms Of Amalur

Curious to see more of Big Huge Games' Reckoning? New screenshots show off the colorful and vibrant gameplay of the upcoming action/RPG.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is sneaking closer to its launch early next year, and Big Huge Games (these days a part of 38 Studios) is eager to keep the game on your mind even during the busy holiday season. To that end, the team sent along some brand new screens of the game in action. They're a fine accompaniment to the recent trailer. Also, keep an eye out in the November issue of Game Informer magazine, where we'll have more details on the EA-published title.

  • Thats a lot of bodies hanging from one big tree.
  • This is one of those games I knew from the very beginning that it's going to be good. Graphics may look a bit dated but thank god an RPG of late that embraces the world of color and cartoony visuals.
  • Weird, skyrim looks different in these shots
  • this game is something else..i cannot wait...

  • This just keeps looking more and more promising, I hope its gonna be as amazing as it always looks.

  • Looks great. Just hope the combat is tight.

You guys need to pay better attention to detail though. You've got this game looking as if it's 360 exclusive.
  • From what little information we've been provided thus far, I must say I am pleasantly satisfied with how this game is shaping up. A few months ago this didn't even register with me, now I'm seeking out as much information as I can find. Here's to hoping for an on-time release and some more coverage before hand.

  • hoooray i want this

  • Certainly on my watch-list

  • FORGET THIS SKYRIM!!!

  • This game keeps looking good and keeps drawing me in. I want to explore and learn about this world. Definitely getting this on launch.

  • I honestly want this game more than Skyrim.

Alot more. I feel like this is more my cup of tea in the fantasy realm. Also I am a huge God of War fan so the combat is what really gets me. Watching the Reiner and Phil vid made me want to get my hands on some daggers to see how fast paced the daggers are.
  • I am real real excited for Reckoning. 2 Thumbs up for Curt Schilling

  • This game looks so refreshing compared to other action/rpg's and the graphic's and lighting look stunning. I was a little dissapointed in Dragon Age 2, Fable 3 I absolutely hated, and Dungeon siege 3 I honestly enjoyed. This looks like the best of all three roled into one!(Scrolls too!)
  • They're right down the street. I really hope they represent, Boston is a big game city. I've been watching this project for a long time and really really hopeful they pull off something great.

I have to say though, regardless of the art style; I've already killed far too many wolves and spiders. Let's get a little fantastic with our fantasy...
  • Skyrim, this, dragon's dogma (I am hopeful), and Mass Effect 3 are my top 4 RPGs that I am waiting for (mostly Skyrim but this is up there).
  • Is this exclusive to the 360?
  • this game looks really fun! so i'll have to get it.

  • How could anyone not be excited for this game?  Screens are beautiful and vibrant.  Hope the gameplay can live up to the environment.

  • Looking good, I'm glad it comes out next year because Skyrim is going to be the only RPG I need for a while.
