The lights are on
Love him or hate him, it's hard to deny that Suda 51 has style. Coming off his zombie-fighting cheerleader adventure, Lollipop Chainsaw, the mad mastermind's Grasshopper Manufacture has revealed a bit more about Killer is Dead. This latest meander through Suda 51's mind puts players in the role of Mondo, a government-employed killer.
The trailer below (set to Wagner's "Flight of the Valkyries") only casually hints at the game's plot, in which the Earth is stolen. Mondo and his employer, Bryan, feature prominently along with a glimpse of the protagonist's powers. We've come to expect tons of blood and over-the-top action from Grasshopper Manufacture, and it appears that Killer is Dead will not disappoint. Despite the sparseness of plot information, the 90 seconds featured do give a sense of the stylized aesthetic (not entirely different from No More Heroes) and the type of combat on offer.
XSEED Games will deliver Killer is Dead this summer.

This looks to be shaping up nicely, can't wait to get my hands on it.
It's clear Suda 51 and Grasshopper have learned their lessons well from Killer 7, No More Heroes, and Shadows of the Damned. I see the best elements of all three games rolled into one.
I am buying this, day one. I love Suda's twisted mind. I hope this doesn't go unnoticed like Shadows of the Damned.
I really liked the look of Killer 7 and No More Heroes better, but I'm still definitely going to give this one a shot.
So ridiculous and so excited. Suda 51 really knows what he's doing.
Oh, that is looking quite nice.
Is it me or does the very first line in the trailer sound like Manu Bennett?!
I used to work at Mondo Burger, but two employees from another restaurant ruined it.
Hurry up August!!
Cool beans, digging yhe aesthetic.
That... looked... AMAZING!
This looks so weird that it could be amazing. . .
I found Lollipop Chainsaw to be amazingly annoying, but this game looks like it could actually be fun. Plus the art looks awesome.
I am so getting this game...!
Never owned a Suda game cause of the horrible gameplay. Hopefully they make it actually playable this time around.
