Since the announcement of KickBeat, the rhythm beat-em-up from a studio best known for its pinball games, we've known that you can import your own music to be played. The latest trailer for the game shows exactly how that works.

If you've ever calibrated your instruments in Rock Band or Guitar Hero, then the process of bringing in your own music into KickBeat might look familiar. Before KickBeating, you have to set the tempo and rhythm of your music by pressing a button in the proper time. The video below shows off a lot of music with consistent techno-rhythms. It's unclear if other genres of music like jazz or metal will be compatible, but Zen Studios says that his has been experimenting with all kinds of genres.

KickBeat is coming to PlayStation 3 and Vita on September 3, and it will be a Cross-Buy title, meaning one purchase will merit you both versions of the game. For more on the game, check out the previous trailers for KickBeat.

The game reminds me of Snoop Dogg's Way of the Dogg a little bit. Maybe that's just me.
