The lights are on
WWE wrestler and video game connoisseur Xavier Woods has revealed that Firestorm is the next character joining the Injustice 2 roster. The exclusive reveal was part of a tour for Woods' YouTube channel, UpUpDownDown. During the tour, Woods chats with studio head Ed Boon about Mortal Kombat, and geeks out over various MK-themed memorabilia with his friends. I would do the exact same thing probably.
While the whole video is definitely worth a watch for fans of NetherRealm studios, Firestorm gameplay doesn't come in until around 5:33. You can check it out down below.
Based solely on the footage, Firestorm seems to be a zoning-heavy character, with a fast projectile and a move that sends him flying from one end of the stage to the other. His special ability is a three-stage buff, which when fully charged will cause the flames enveloping his body to run blue, and amplify his damage. It remains to be seen how he will fit into the greater narrative of Injustice 2, but initial footage shows a promising addition to the roster.

Okay, Firestorm is cool and all, but... Doctor Fate is in this game!? Somehow I totally missed that announcement.
