Fantastic game, that sadly wants to keep up.

Infamous dropped in 2009 to become one of the hard hitters for the ps3.  Now the sequel comes and broadens every single aspect from the first, which is fantastic, and awful at the same time.  I could get into the back story, but if you haven't played the first game yet even after it was free on that welcome back thing, it wouldn't suprise me if you can't even understand the english that I am writing.  Insults aside, infamous 2 is all about the beast.  So far, reviews have put down infamous 2 for its story, but I didn't find that the case at all really.  Cole's companions are actually interesting this time and have quite a bit of depth, which I wasn't expecting at all.  The story is pretty intense, since the beginning of the game really sets up the threat.  The ending of the game actually made me tear up, which has never hapenned before.  Did I say ending?  I meant one of the endings, but I'll talk about that later.

Combat: Mechanics are refined and the upgrade system, may actually be the best that I've ever seen.  In the first game, you got a power, and the upgrade just did the same thing over and over, only giving you one way to really use it.  Now, instead of upgrades, they just give you tons of different powers that work completely different that you can swap out for other powers in seconds allowing you to play how and when you want!  Tons of new enemies that fight completely different really make the upgrade system shine.   Also, you can throw cars at some buildings that cause them both to blow up.  Endless hours of fun literally just right there.

I had so much fun with this game, and as I said before, the good karma ending seriously made me almost tear up ( I didn't actually, since I'm a man), but that was undermined by the fact that I knew that I would have to play the game again, to see Cole do the exact opposite and murder everything.  And thats the problem.  I know that this game has to keep up with morality choices, but since the supporting characters have archs and depth, Cole is either Cole MacMother Teresa or Cole MacHitler which ironicly gives him no depth at all.  And let me tell you, the 2 ending of the last game were very similar, this one has one ending in america, and the other ending on jupiter for how apart they are.  And guys, may be a bit of a spoiler, but there is no infamous 3, which means they kinda messed it up, and won't fix it.  Fantasic game, shame on whoever made the morality choices.  I think I'll just balme Peter Moleneux.

P.S. User generated content is there, and looks pretty good so far.
