Hotline Miami 2

New Trailer Filled With 8-Bit Violence

Just a few weeks ago we learned that Hotline Miami would be hitting the PlayStation 4, now Dennaton Games has revealed more about its upcoming sequel. Today, it released a short trailer for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

The trailer is filled with the over-the-top violence that the 8-bit shooter is known for. In it is tons of pixelated gore, dual-wielding action and even chainsaws. Put simply, you might want to get the children out of the room before pressing play.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is the final game in the series, and you can check out our preview for more details. It is launching for PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and PC later in 2014.

  • Maaaan give us a release date!

  • Yes, yes, and more yes. I really enjoyed the mind **** acid trip the first game was. Can't wait to dive into the next one and be equally disturbed.

  • this looks even more exhilarating than the first one.

  • I want two things from this: a Mac release, and a level editor. I spend a fair amount of time replaying the first game's levels over and over, but if there was user-created content (think like Meat Boy's) then it would be fantastically replayable.
  • No vita release?
  • My most anticipated indie title of the year.

  • Not counting Wii U games, I think this is my most anticipated release this year. This looks amazing.

  • Can't wait. Im glad its launching on Playstation platforms the same time as PC.

  • Decided to torrent the first game on mac.
  • Seems as though it's not going to be about just the fans and Jacket. I was pretty convinced that the Russian mob guy spliced here and there into the video might be another outlet to the story. I cannot wait for this, I hope it comes to PS3
  • This looks absolutely outstanding

  • Mod

    Hotline Miami is so fun!

Looking forward to playing this sequel on Vita, controls very fine.

  • no ps3?

  • That's...that's not really 8-bit is it?
  • Wouldn't this be considered 16-bit? It definitely looks better than the first Legend of Zelda...
