Two development diaries for the Homeworld Remastered Collection, the HD remastering of the first two Homeworld PC games, are now available. The franchise began in 1999 with the original Homeworld and has been on hiatus since 2003, so the developers of Gearbox are sharing what the franchise means to them and what it is like to return to it.

The first development diary focuses on introducing some of the original developers who worked on the two original Homeworld games. These team members are returning to work on the Homeworld Remastered Collection and you can meet them in the video below.

In the second development diary, released today, more developers share what it is like to return to franchise after a decade of being away from the series. Also you can learn a little about what it was like to acquire the rights to the franchise from THQ in the video below.

For more on Homeworld Remastered, you can check out the recently released story trailer and look forward to our review of the Homeworld Remastered Collection. The Homeworld Remastered Collection releases on February 25th for $34.99 on PC.
